Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a qualified engineer to design and integrate ATC IP-based voice communication systems. The role focuses on creating and controlling System Configuration Documents, maintaining traceability via VCRMs, and ensuring all engineering artifacts reflect the current system state.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, CS, or related engineering degree.
• 5+ years of systems test experience in telecom/networking with gov programs.
• Ability to autonomously deliver high-quality artifacts including SCDs and VCRMs.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Proficient with DOORS and governance tools like JIRA/Confluence/MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SCDs — own baselines, interfaces, and system design documentation.
• Translate customer requirements into testable specifications and maintain the Verification Cross‑Reference Matrix (VCRM).
• Create system architectures including detailed call flows, sequence diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Support testing and certification through documentation readiness, configuration control, and coordination with external labs.
• Install and troubleshoot systems while ensuring all changes are captured in updated SCDs and engineering artifacts.
• Interface with customers and engineering teams to communicate design decisions, configuration updates, and project status.
