Job summary

Serco is seeking a skilled Air Traffic Controller for Lewiston, ID. The role involves managing radio communications, issuing clearances, and providing weather and operational data to pilots while coordinating with ground personnel.

Candidates must possess US citizenship, an FAA Second Class Medical Certificate, and a CTO/Tower Rating or equivalent credential with relevant experience. A security clearance and pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required for employment.
• An FAA Second Class Medical Certificate is required.
• A CTO rating or a Tower Rating credential with 6 months of practical experience per 14 CFR 65.39.
• For ATCS with a Tower Credential, FAA recognition of knowledge/experience per 14 CFR 65.35/65.39.
• Eligibility to work for Serco under Federal Immigration Laws.
• Background and employment reference verification including release of records.
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.
• FAA Security clearance (interim and final) is required.
• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Answer radio calls from arriving/departing aircraft
• Issue landing/takeoff instructions
• Provide information on runway usage, wind, visibility, taxiing, and nearby aircraft
• Issue air traffic clearances
• Perform weather observations as LAWRS observer and relay weather data to pilots and facilities
• Transfer and receive control of aircraft
• Operate ATC systems and weather equipment
• Alert responders to aircraft emergencies
• Coordinate with airport vehicles and personnel
• Maintain and disseminate daily operation records
• Perform on-the-job training instructor duties as required
