Job summary

Mapleton Public Schools in Colorado is seeking a Paraprofessional for at-risk youth at Academy High School to provide individualized student support. The role focuses on early intervention, coordination with MTSS, and strengthening connections with students, caregivers, and school staff to keep students engaged and progressing toward graduation.

Responsibilities include weekly meetings with students, outreach efforts, progress monitoring, and collaborating with families.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or pass District Assessment.
• At least 2 years' experience working with children and youth in a school setting.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Windows operating system and Windows-based office software.

Responsibilities

• Identify students showing early disengagement signs and MTSS involvement.
• Meet weekly with students and conduct outreach (home visits, calls, emails).
• Progress monitor attendance and grading data for at-risk students.
• Coordinate with families to enhance parent communication and engagement.
• Collaborate with MTSS team and school staff to reconnect students with education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Student Support Services or School Directors.
