As an At Home Caregiver, you’ll provide personal care, meals, light housekeeping, mobility support, and warm companionship, with opportunities for advanced training in dementia/Alzheimer’s care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle are needed to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes at scheduled times; physical endurance for lifting and mobility assistance.
• Willingness to comply with health and safety standards, including background checks.
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

Responsibilities

As a Visiting Angels At Home Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

At Home Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
• 1 plus year of caregiving experience is preferred.
