Job summary

Visiting Angels of Rapid City is hiring caregivers to serve clients across the Black Hills with flexible schedules and competitive wages. You’ll play a vital role by enriching clients’ lives and supporting wellness through custom care plans.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, companionship, meal prep, medication reminders, and safety-focused support during errands and travel, with opportunities for advanced dementia or Alzheimer’s care training.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance and a reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and emergency response training (provided if needed).
• Excellent time-management and ability to juggle duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes and schedules.
• Comfortable with housekeeping and cooking within dietary guidelines.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Bring compassion, understanding and a desire to brighten clients’ day.

As a Visiting Angels In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
