Job summary

District Wide is seeking an Assistive Technology (AT) and AAC Specialist/Speech Pathologist (0.60 FTE) to support students with disabilities Districtwide in Portland, OR. The role includes AT/AAC evaluations, training, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The position emphasizes universal design and inclusive practices, with required licensure and experience in AT/AAC. 192 workdays, benefits, and a structured salary range accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Valid Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Experience: at least two years in AT/AAC assessment, selection, and implementation.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide AT and AAC evaluations and device recommendations with training for students, families and classroom teams.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to determine AT/AAC needs.
• Prepare and deliver PD for AT/AAC devices and services to educators.
