Job summary

BDO USA in the United States is seeking an Assurance Manager, Third Party Attestation to lead a team of audit professionals through planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up phases of third-party attestation reports including SOC 1/2/3, SOC for Cybersecurity, HITRUST, ISO, and related standards.

You will oversee engagement planning, test design, and validation of control environments, managing risks and ensuring compliance with professional standards while mentoring staff onsite or remotely as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, MIS, Business Admin, Finance or Economics is required.
• Master's degree in Accounting with MIS minor or dual major preferred.
• Certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, HITRUST CCSFP, CIA, CISM, CEH, CRISC, CGEIT are required or preferred.
• More than five years of IT/audit experience and supervisory experience are required.
• Experience with SOC, WebTrust, HITRUST, SOX, ISO 27001 and security/privacy engagements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision of Associates and Senior Associates on all projects.
• Review workpapers and provide feedback to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel and management.
• Draft attestation reports and communicate contents to clients.
• Ensure adherence to proper BDO methodology and audit procedures.
• Coordinate audit planning and execution of procedures with quality and timeliness.
