Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Intern in our Assurance practice in San Antonio, TX. You will begin applying your accounting education while gaining hands-on audit experience under experienced mentors, learning BDO’s audit methodology and collaborating with the team.

The role emphasizes problem solving, research, and written/verbal communication skills, with opportunities to engage with clients and internal teams. Training is provided and CPA pathway is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Accounting.
• Pursuing a Master's degree in Accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in on-the-job training and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Assists in the audit process using BDO methods and tools.
• Provides support to audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients and related parties about audit issues.
• Documents work in working papers using BDO templates.
• Contributes ideas and responds to team inputs.
• Completes an accounting/audit research project and presents findings.
