Job summary

BDO USA, LLP in San Diego seeks an energetic Intern for the Assurance practice to apply accounting knowledge and organizational skills, supporting audit teams and gaining hands-on exposure to client engagements.

You will participate in a structured on-the-job training program, learn BDO audit methodologies, and work closely with experienced professionals to develop technical and communication skills crucial for a successful career in assurance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with audit stages.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties regarding audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to the audit teams and listens to colleagues' views.
• Completes an accounting or audit research project and presents findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.
• Other duties as required.
