Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Accounting Intern in its Assurance practice. You will gain hands-on experience while learning GAAP and GAAS, and assist the audit staff under guidance from experienced team members.

The role emphasizes problem solving, communication, and collaborative work within a dynamic client service environment. You will participate in on-the-job training, use BDO tools, and contribute to audit projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO-specific audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers utilizing BDO-specific tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to the audit teams and responds to other team members' views.
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit-related research project and presents findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.
• Other duties as required.
