BDO USA seeks an Intern in our Assurance practice in the United States. You will start by applying your education and organizational skills to assist with problem solving and fact-finding, working closely with experienced team members who will coach and guide you.

You will gain hands-on exposure to the firm's practices, participate in a structured training program, and begin to build critical relationships to support your career growth in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO's audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO templates.
• Contributes ideas to the audit teams and listens to others' views.
• Completes one accounting or audit research project and presents findings to Assurance professionals.
• Other duties as required.
