Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) in Wisconsin seeks Assurance Associates to support audits, reviews, and other assurance services for local government and not-for-profit clients. You will prepare financial statements, disclosures, and Form 990 returns, gaining hands-on experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems.

You'll collaborate on multiple client engagements, manage timelines, and communicate progress while developing industry knowledge through training opportunities and client exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (strongly preferred).
• Credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with MS Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the detail work of audits, reviews and other assurance services for local government and not-for-profit clients.
• Prepares financial statements, related disclosures and other required reports.
• Prepares Form 990 returns for not-for-profit clients.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
