Job summary

CLA is seeking an Assurance Associate for our Green Bay and Sheboygan locations. The role focuses on assisting with audits and related assurance services for local government and not-for-profit clients.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in accounting or finance and are pursuing CPA credentials. You will gain experience with financial statements, disclosures, Form 990, and client communications while traveling to engagements as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Credit requirements to sit CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and travel to client sites.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audits, reviews, and assurance services for local government and not-for-profit clients.
• Prepare financial statements, disclosures and other required reports.
• Prepare Form 990 for not-for-profit clients.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems.
• Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
• Communicate progress with clients and CLA team members.
