Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is hiring an Experienced Audit Associate to service our nonprofit clients in Wisconsin, with locations including Madison and Milwaukee. You will perform significant audit engagements, build relationships, and ensure close personal attention to client needs, positioning you for leadership within CLA.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA eligibility preferred, and about 1 year of related experience; travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred (internships may be acceptable).
• Ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures impacting industry-specific issues.
• Audit complex areas or transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
• Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
• Keep Manager or Principal informed of engagement status and issues.
• Interact with clients to gather information for timely engagement wrap-up.

As an Experienced Audit Associate, you will perform significant audit and other assurance engagements for our clients, build relationships, and assure continued close personal attention to their needs. CLA auditors get the footing they need to step confidently into leadership positions and more specialized practice areas.
