BDO USA, PC is seeking an Assurance Associate to prepare financial statements with disclosures, apply GAAP basics, and document, validate, and test internal control systems. The role may involve reviews and agreed‑upon procedures engagements, with travel as needed to meet firm and client needs.

The position requires CPA eligibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Accounting/finance education is required, and Master’s is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required OR Bachelor’s degree in other focus area and CPA certification required.
• Master’s in Accountancy preferred.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment; actively pursuing completion preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare financial statements with disclosures and document, validate, test, and assess internal controls.
• Assist in reviews and agreed‑upon procedures engagements as needed.
• Travel to meet firm and client needs as required.
• Support applications of GAAP, GAAS, and related professional standards on engagements.
• Document in accordance with firm methodology and maintain work papers.
