Job summary

CIMCO is seeking a construction project lead to drive complex projects from concept to completion in Virginia. The role partners with Sales, Engineering, and contractors to define scope, plan methods, and control costs while maintaining safety and quality.

You will review drawings, develop installation estimates, and coordinate manpower, materials, safety plans, and equipment rentals to ensure on-time delivery and budget alignment.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in construction, industrial piping, ammonia refrigeration, or project coordination.
  • Experience supporting project schedules, resource planning, and project documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Project experience preferred.
  • Basic financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review project drawings and specifications with Sales and Engineering to define scope, plan construction methods, and develop installation cost estimates including labor, supervision, and field support.
  • Manage communication and coordination with all project stakeholders to ensure projects progress as planned.
  • Coordinate manpower, material handling, safety planning, site purchasing, and equipment rentals to support project execution.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with assigned projects to ensure alignment with estimates and budgets.
  • Prepare project schedules, status updates, and manpower reports based on site conditions, equipment delivery timelines, and overall project progress.
  • Conduct mandatory pre-job meetings with site supervisors and clients, focusing on hazard assessments and the protection of customer property.
