Job summary

Novant Health Rowan Medical Center seeks an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit. You’ll provide clinical and administrative leadership, mentor staff, manage scheduling, and ensure safe, high‑quality patient care while supporting your team.

Schedule is 6 p.m.–4:30 a.m., four 10‑hour shifts or five 8‑hour shifts, plus one weekend per month with some call and holiday rotation. Requires Bachelor’s in Nursing; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• RN licensure in state required.
• At least 1 year of bedside RN experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Leadership education and training completion required.

Responsibilities

• Provide unit-level clinical and administrative leadership for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit.
• Mentor staff and manage performance, scheduling, and workflow.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
• Support operational efficiency and collaboration among nursing teams.

The ANM will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, fostering collaboration among nursing team, and supporting Novant Health’s commitment to remarkable patient outcomes.

Preferred Skill Sets

• At least 1 years of bedside nursing experience
• Leadership experience highly preferred such as charge, precepting or unit council team
• Excellentcommunicationandteam-buildingabilities

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required

Master's Degree Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required

Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical RN experience Preferred

Prior demonstrated nursing leadership Preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state Required Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications

Additional Skills Required: Successful completion of generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.
