Novant Health's Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Telemetry unit. The RN will lead care teams, coordinate with physicians, and ensure an individualized care plan that promotes optimal health and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred (4-year).
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state; active certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with physicians and team members.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Demonstrate leadership and uphold Novant Health policies and procedures.

• Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC

Patient population in this unit includes those with chest pain, pacemakers, heart failure, Cardiac Cath Pre & Post, and other general cardiac patients. 6 West 2 is a 23-bed unit emphasizing teamwork and has new advancements and technology. 6 West 2 is also a trial unit for new processes within Forsyth Medical Center.

What You'll Do

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Education:

  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

  4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.

  If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

• Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

  Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
