Honda seeks a seasoned accounting leader to own financial reporting for the Automobile segment at our Torrance campus. You will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, ensuring IFRS/US GAAP/SOX compliance while collaborating with NA subsidiaries on performance metrics.

The role requires strong accounting acumen, cross-functional leadership, and experience with revenue, incentives, and royalty analyses. Remote work is available up to 20%.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 5+ years in public accounting or 7+ years in private accounting, manufacturing/distribution preferred.
• Technical accounting analyses under IFRS/US GAAP and application.
• CPA preferred.

Job Purpose

Lead the accounting and financial reporting activities (including monthly/quarterly/annual financial/SOX audits) of AHM Automobile Business Segment in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP/SOX as well as collaborating with North American Honda subsidiaries for automobile business performance..

Key Accountabilities

• Manage and review AHM financial reporting and account analysis for Automobile Segments with a main focus on revenue, sales incentive, and royalty areas
• Coordinate AHM quarterly/annual financial audit (including SOX compliance)
• Prepare/present account analysis from business performance perspectives to management
• Implement new accounting standards/modify existing reporting in accordance with IFRS/write accounting memos for new transactions drawing accounting treatment conclusions based on appropriate accounting guidance, working closely with AHM and other NA entities in the rapidly changing Honda re-org activities
• Develop/Train staff by transferring knowledge/providing challenging work/asking questions for process improvements

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/finance or relate field

• Five plus years of Public Accounting experience or seven plus years of Private Accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing and/or distribution company
• Technical Accounting analyses under IFRS/US GAAP and application
• Management/Supervising experience
• Experience in a multinational company is a plus
• Good communication skills (verbal/written)
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• CPA Preferred
