Job summary

Thomson Reuters Corp. in the United States is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Litigation to manage disputes globally for a leading tech and information solutions company.

You will oversee commercial litigation, copyrights and IP enforcement, class actions, privacy, and antitrust matters, coordinating with business leaders and outside counsel worldwide. Sitting in the General Counsel's Office (GCO) Litigation Practice Group, you will help shape strategy, budgets, risk analysis, and use

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in at least one US state.
• 5–10+ years of experience managing commercial litigation or arbitration.
• Experience with data protection/privacy or IP law is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial disputes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead copyright/IP enforcement and defense.
• Direct class action defense, including antitrust and privacy claims.
• Oversee discovery, records management, and use eDiscovery tools.
• Instruct outside counsel and manage global litigation strategy.
