TTUHSC in Midland, Texas, invites applications for an Asst/Assoc/Professor in Pediatric Developmental Behavioral Medicine. The position supports a new residency program beginning in 2028, with emphasis on comprehensive pediatric care and multidisciplinary education.

The role requires MD/DO/MBBS, successful completion of USMLE Step 3, and current or in-progress ACGME residency and fellowship in Pediatric Developmental Behavioral Medicine. Travel up to 25% may be required.

The TTUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in thePermian Basin specializes in health care for children of all ages.Our faculty physicians are committed to delivering high qualityhealth care to children, as well as excellence in medicaleducation. Serving the communities of the Permian Basin for over 20years with a diverse patient population.

The TTUHSC Permian Basin Pediatric Residency is a new program basedin Midland, Texas beginning in 2028, designed to address criticalpediatric care shortages by training residents in generalpediatrics and subspecialties like critical care, behavioraldevelopmental, neonatology, adolescent medicine and endocrinology.Supported by a community investment, the program focuses oncomprehensive, high-quality care with a focus on ruralhealth.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Evaluate, treat and manage complex developmental, learning andbehavioral challenges in pediatrics and adolescents;
  • Assess developmental delays, learning disorders and habitdisorders;
  • Collaborate with families to address environmental,psychosocial and emotional factors that affect development;
  • Work with school systems and community agencies to ensureeducational support for patients;
  • Collaborate with other specialties as a part of amultidisciplinary team; and
  • Participate in the education of students and residents.
