Job summary

UMBC Sports Medicine seeks an Associate Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for Division I student-athletes. You will work with team physicians, athletic trainers, and performance staff to prevent injuries, evaluate and treat conditions, rehabilitate, and manage emergencies to ensure safe returns to sport.

You will foster strong relationships with athletes, support their health and well-being, and contribute to a collaborative care environment that values growth,

Qualifications

• Degree from a CAATE-accredited athletic training program (Master’s degree preferred).
• Current BOC certification.
• Maryland Athletic Trainer licensure (or eligibility).
• Current CPR/AED certification for the Professional Rescuer.
• Minimum of two years of collegiate or equivalent athletic training experience.
• Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional healthcare to student-athletes.

Responsibilities

The Associate Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive, patient-centered health care to student athletes while working collaboratively with team physicians, athletic trainers, sports performance professionals, and other members of our multidisciplinary health care team.
