Job summary

ProAmpac is actively hiring at our Rocky Mount, VA facility. You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and maintain an organized warehouse while handling loads for outbound and inbound shipments. The role emphasizes safety, GMPs/ISO standards, and accurate receiving and shipping processes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years related experience, forklift experience, and a valid driver's license. Benefits include paid holidays and a comprehensive package.

Responsibilities

Pay or shift range: $16 USD to $19 USD

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules.

• Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.

• Operate both sit on and stand-up forklift during the workday.

• Keeps warehouse organized by moving products to assigned areas.

• Loads and completed loads documents for OTR and LTL shipments.

• Unloads assigned inbound loads.

• Verifies correct quantity/product/size is received.

• Follows structured receiving process (labeling, weighing, inspecting for damage).

• Wraps and moves rolls to appropriate location in warehouse.

• Picks, stages, and scans orders for shipments.

• Ensures that items are picked in order they are scheduled to be shipped.

• Loads items on truck.

• Maintains organized warehouse.

• Loads and completed load documents for scrap disposal.

• Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.All other duties as assigned.

• High school or equivalent (GED) education

• One or two years related experience and/or training

• At least one year of previous forklift experience required

• Valid driver's license required
