Job summary

ProAmpac, a leading packaging company in Fort Worth, is seeking a Material Handler to join our on-site team. You will unload, store, pick and stage materials, and load/unload inbound/outbound trucks using powered forklifts to ensure safe, efficient shipments.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in shipping/receiving, stand-up forklift experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs to 6 ft. We offer quarterly bonuses, premium pay, 11 holidays, 401(k) with match, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year shipping and receiving experience required.
• Stand-up forklift experience and ability to maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs to a height of 6 ft regularly.

Responsibilities

• Unload, check and receive ordered raw materials, parts and supplies.
• Store, organize and rotate materials to ensure FIFO usage.
• Deliver materials to production machinery promptly to keep equipment stocked.
• Deliver finished goods to designated storage areas for efficient picking.
• Pick, stack, wrap and stage shipments; record quantities and pallet contents.
• Repair, repack and label damaged products to mitigate loss.
• Load outbound trucks and ensure safe delivery conditions.
• Perform safety checks on equipment and comply with safety policies.
• Sweep and clean dock area and truck wells; maintain a tidy Shipping/Receiving area.
• Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays.

This position will be responsible for providing safe and efficient handling, staging and storage of raw materials and finished goods, as well as the preparation of shipments and loading and unloading of inbound/outbound trucks using powered industrial forklifts and clamp trucks.

• Unload, check and receive ordered raw materials, parts and supplies.
• Store, organize and rotate those materials as directed to ensure oldest materials are used first (FIFO).
• Retrieve certain materials and deliver them to the production machinery in a timely fashion to keep the equipment well supplied with stock.
• Deliver finished goods to the designated areas in the storage warehouse, to allow for efficient picking of orders and safe and orderly storage until needed.
• Pick, stack, wrap and stage shipments, recording quantities and pallet contents as needed to ensure safe and efficient receipt at their destination.
• Repair, repack and label damaged products to mitigate loss as needed.
• Load outbound trucks with products, ensuring that the product will arrive at the destination in the best possible condition.
• Perform all required safety checks on any equipment utilized to ensure that the equipment is maintained in a safe, reliable condition.
• Adhere to all required safety policies related to powered industrial truck operations.
• Sweep and clean dock area and truck wells to maintain a professional Shipping and Receiving Department.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays.

Qualifications

• One year experience in Shipping and Receiving.
• Stand-up lift experience, skilled maneuvering in tight spaces.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. to a height of 6 feet regularl)y.
