Job summary

Workwear Outfitters seeks a Warehouse Associate to join our distribution team. You will handle receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and dispatching goods, while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include operating equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts, conducting inventory checks, and following procedures to store and move merchandise efficiently. Prior warehouse experience is preferred; safety and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in handling distribution center tasks such as receiving, stocking, picking, packing and dispatching goods.
  • Ability to maintain accurate stock records and perform data entry into inventory systems.
  • Comfort with operating heavy-duty equipment and adhering to safety procedures.

What You Will Do as a Warehouse Associate
  • Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
  • Direct and control warehouse operations, stock deployment functions, and inventory control functions involved in the physical distribution of company products; ensure cost effective operations while meeting quality customer service and inventory turnover objectives.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse.
  • Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
  • Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
  • Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules).
  • Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization’s established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones; updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms
