Job summary

Workwear Outfitters is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Charlotte, NC to handle receiving, stocking, loading, unloading, picking, and data entry in a fast-paced distribution center. You will direct and control warehouse operations, ensure accurate inventory, and help dispatch goods while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires performing routine clerical tasks, updating stock records, and following procedures to meet quality and service goals with a focus on timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, stocking, picking and loading/unloading merchandise.
• Ability to enter data into stock systems and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods and check for damage or discrepancies.
• Sort, label and store goods to optimize warehouse space.

What You Will Do as a Warehouse Associate

Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts Direct and control warehouse operations, stock deployment functions, and inventory control functions involved in the physical distribution of company products; ensure cost effective operations while meeting quality customer service and inventory turnover objectives. Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse. Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices. Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space. Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules). Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization's established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones; updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.
