Job summary

Workwear Outfitters, a Nashville-based leader in work apparel, seeks a Warehouse Associate in the Charlotte area. You will support distribution center operations, including receiving, stocking, picking and dispatching merchandise, using pallet jacks or forklifts as needed, and ensuring accurate stock records.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and inventory accuracy; you will control stock deployment, enter data into our systems, and collaborate with a team to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, stocking, picking and packing goods.
• Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, load and unload merchandise in the distribution center.
• Direct and control warehouse operations and inventory control to meet turnover goals.
• Follow established procedures to receive, store, record, and dispatch goods.
• Receive incoming goods; check for damage and discrepancies with invoices.
• Sort, label, and store goods; optimize warehouse space.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing orders according to requests.
• Enter stock data into a database and respond to inquiries about inventory or delivery schedules.

What You Will Do as a Warehouse Associate

• Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
• Direct and control warehouse operations, stock deployment functions, and inventory control functions involved in the physical distribution of company products; ensure cost effective operations while meeting quality customer service and inventory turnover objectives.
• Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse.
• Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
• Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules).
• Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization's established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones; updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms
