Job summary

Montefiore New Rochelle is seeking an Associate Vice President, Engineering to provide strategic and operational leadership for Engineering, Energy Management, and Sustainability across all facilities. This role oversees mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utility, and energy systems, and the Moses Campus Cogeneration Plant to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• Active New York State Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive engineering and facilities management experience; healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utility distribution, cogeneration, energy management, sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement of engineering, utility management, energy management, and sustainability processes.
• Develop and implement strategic engineering, energy management, and sustainability initiatives.
• Direct system-wide compliance initiatives related to physical environment and energy systems.
• Chair and lead physical environment governance committees and oversee regulatory compliance and risk.
• Provide strategic financial leadership for a $65 million operating budget, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee engineering asset management and facility condition assessment programs.
• Direct engineering operations and service delivery across the organization.
