Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Active state veterinary license in good standing is required; DEA and other credentials as needed.
• 0–2 years of experience in general medicine and surgery preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform physical examinations and diagnostics.
• Perform medical, surgical, dental procedures with patient comfort in mind.
• Explain findings and present treatment plans to clients.
• Educate clients on preventive care and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate medical and surgical records and logs.
• Stay current with veterinary medicine and continuing education.
• Support staff and contribute to a collaborative care culture.
• Possibly travel as needed to different Chewy Vet Care locations.
