Job Description/Overview:

The Associate Veterinarian provides high-quality medical, surgical, and dental services, guiding and supporting the medical team. They may also participate in leadership, management, and marketing activities, including reviewing practice metrics, supporting team learning, fostering a positive workplace, and collaborating with Partner Doctors and Pod Owners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Live and exemplify PetVet365’s Purpose, Mission, and Vision.
  • Provide compassionate, Fear Free care to patients and clients.
  • Perform medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
  • Interpret lab results, radiographs, and EKGs; prescribe medications.
  • Update client records promptly and accurately.
  • Engage in ongoing medical education.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, presenting treatment options.
  • Promote a client-centered environment and develop new programs to meet changing needs.
  • Supervise veterinary technicians, assessing skills and planning their growth.
  • Deliver in-house medical training.
  • Work towards and meet practice productivity standards.
  • Review key performance indicators with partners and develop growth plans.
  • Participate in community outreach, veterinary activities, and social media marketing.
  • Motivate staff, maintain morale, and uphold standards.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain positive relationships among staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Professional Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in current state.
  • Experience is desirable but not required.
  • Fear Free Certification (training and certification provided).
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
