Introduction

Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. Caring for cats and dogs, this well-established multi-doctor hospital is looking for an experienced, surgically inclined veterinarian with an interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a highly collaborative team while managing a varied medical and surgical caseload in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities

As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to companion animal patients while maintaining a high standard of client communication and patient advocacy. Responsibilities include managing acute and chronic disease cases, performing routine and advanced surgical procedures such as spays and neuters, mass removals, abdominal procedures, foreign body surgeries, and dental extractions. You will also provide wellness care, dentistry, diagnostics, internal medicine, pain management, emergency care, and end-of-life support. The role requires developing comprehensive treatment plans, educating clients on available care options, and collaborating closely with the veterinary and support teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only.

Practice Details

This large veterinary hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including digital ultrasound, fully integrated digital radiography, video endoscopy, in-house laboratory equipment, and an extensive pharmacy. Services include wellness care, dental care, health certificates, microchipping, behaviour management, nutrition counselling, surgery, diagnostics, internal medicine, pain management, end-of-life care, and emergency care. The hospital offers exposure to a wide variety of medical and surgical cases and provides mentorship opportunities in ultrasonography, radiology, general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and internal medicine. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and closed on Sundays. The practice promotes a healthy work-life balance while maintaining a strong focus on medical and surgical excellence.

Candidate Requirements
