Introduction

This established small animal hospital in Everett, Washington is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team as its sixth doctor. Having served the local community for more than 18 years, the hospital has built a reputation for delivering high-quality medicine, exceptional client service, and strong client relationships. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys collaborative medicine, values strong support staff, and has an interest in working up challenging internal medicine cases within a fast-paced and well-equipped environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities

The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care for a diverse caseload of dogs, cats, exotics, and pocket pets, although there is no obligation to see all species. Responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery, client communication, and managing more complex internal medicine cases. The role is well suited to a veterinarian who values collaboration and enjoys building lasting relationships with clients while delivering high-quality patient care. Practice Details

The hospital is a fast-paced small animal practice equipped with advanced technology to support high-quality medicine and surgery. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, therapeutic laser, hydrotherapy, and equipment to perform advanced orthopedic procedures such as fracture repairs and TPLOs. The clinic operates within a paper-lite practice management system and emphasizes comprehensive patient care, strong communication, and clinical excellence. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The practice combines the feel of a community-focused hospital with access to the resources and professional development opportunities of a larger veterinary network.

Team

The hospital currently has a team of five veterinarians and is seeking a sixth doctor to join the practice. The veterinary team is supported by seven licensed veterinary technicians, highly skilled assistants, and an experienced reception team, creating an impressive support staff-to-doctor ratio of approximately 6:1. The culture emphasizes collaboration, professionalism, and teamwork, allowing veterinarians to focus on providing exceptional patient care while working alongside a highly capable support team.

Candidate Requirements
  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
