What You'll Do
  • Empower your team to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Build rapport with clients and address their needs and wishes.
  • Perform physical exams and diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures with minimal stress and discomfort to patients.
  • Master medical skills and perform basic surgeries.
  • Communicate findings and diagnoses effectively; develop and present treatment plans to clients.
  • Educate clients on preventive healthcare, vaccines, and nutrition.
  • Maintain accurate medical and surgical records and assist in follow-up care.
  • Stay current with veterinary medical advancements through continuing education.
  • Support the development of paraprofessional team members.
  • Represent the clinic professionally in the community and to the public.
  • Support Veterinary Technicians and Assistants as needed.
  • Participate in self-development and required compliance training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Oversee safety, operational, and compliance procedures per law and company policies.
  • This role may require some travel.
What You'll Need
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD) degree or equivalent.
  • Active state veterinary license, DEA license, and other credentials as required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in general medicine and surgery.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines.
  • Strong multitasking, integrity, and accountability.
  • Excellent listening, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Passion for helping people and pets with empathy and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, self-starting environment.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Standing or walking up to 80% of the shift.
  • Frequently lift 50-70 pounds; team lift for heavier weights.
  • Perform physical activities such as standing, pushing, pulling, carrying, squatting, and kneeling.
