Rarebreed Veterinary Partners is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian for Brewer Veterinary Clinic in Brewer, Maine. Join a compassionate, high-volume, small animal team with digital radiography, ultrasound, IDEXX, and a full surgical suite to support exceptional medicine.

We offer base salary $100,000–$150,000 with 22% production and a generous bonus opportunity, no negative accrual and no non-compete. DVM and Maine license eligibility; 2+ years’ experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries in dogs and cats.
• Develop treatment plans and provide medical and surgical care.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and veterinary staff.
• Communicate with clients and referring veterinarians.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Administer core vaccinations and preventive care.
• Perform dental procedures as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries in companion animals, primarily dogs and cats
• Develop thoughtful treatment plans and provide medical and surgical care
• Collaborate with fellow veterinarians and our broader veterinary ecosystem
• Communicate effectively with clients and referring veterinarians
• Participate in continuing education, seminars, and training to continue developing professionally
• Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients on preventative and well-pet care
• Perform dental procedures as needed
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace for our team, clients, and patients

REQUIREMENTS

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a veterinary hospital setting preferred
• Internship training preferred but not required
• Ability to obtain a Maine Veterinary License
