Rarebreed Veterinary Partners seeks a compassionate Veterinarian to join our Presque Isle, ME practice. You will examine, diagnose, and treat small animal patients, with opportunities to perform dentistry and advanced surgeries.

Collaboration with referring veterinarians and ongoing education are key parts of the role. New graduates are encouraged to apply; ME license eligibility or active license is required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree.
• Active ME Veterinary License or eligibility.
• 2+ years clinical experience preferred; new grads encouraged.
• Internship training preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of small animal cases; provide surgical or medical treatment.
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians and internal team.
• Engage in ongoing education, seminars and training to stay current.
• Perform dentistry with mentorship available if desired.
• Administer vaccinations and counsel clients in well-pet care.
• Guide and support staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Collaborate with team veterinarians on critical care cases.

Hotham Veterinary Services is currently a 4-doctor practice with 2 locations. Our first hospital in Presque Isle and a second location in Houlton, Maine. Hotham Veterinary Services in Presque Isle, ME

Salary range starting at $130K with a sign-on bonus of up to $25K.

What You’ll Do

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of small animal cases, and treat surgically or medically
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
• Perform dentistry with opportunities for mentorship if desired
• Advanced surgical abilities would be a plus
• Administer vaccinations and counsel clients in well-pet care
• Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
• Collaborate with team veterinarians on critical care cases

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
• New graduates encouraged to apply, but 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting is preferred
• Internship training is also preferred but not required
• Ability to attain ME Veterinary License
