Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an Associate User Experience Designer to shape intuitive, accessible digital experiences for customers. You will collaborate with designers, developers, writers, and business stakeholders to apply user-centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design to help customers find information, solve problems, and interact with SEL.

Location is Pullman, WA.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in interaction, graphic or visual communications design, HCI, or related field.
• Basic experience with graphic, interaction, and display design principles.
• Basic experience with UX design methodologies and techniques.
• Basic understanding of user experience research methods.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

• Assist in development of products with world-class user experience.
• Participate in open collaboration, critique, and communication.
• Apply basic UX design, visual design and research principles.
• Work under supervision following established procedures.
