What We Do

Provides underwriting support and expertise to company personnel, agents, and customer(s), related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies. Utilizes underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits, to underwrite the issuance of title insurance and provide guidance in the performance of real estate settlement services.

How You'll Contribute

1. Provides underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customer(s), related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
2. Utilizes underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits to underwrite the issuance of title insurance.
3. Provides guidance to company personnel in the performance of real estate settlement services.
4. Issues underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with established company processes.
5. Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

1. Law Degree required.
2. Admitted to practice in the state of employment.
3. Licensed to practice law, in good standing.
4. 1-4 years of title underwriting experience.
5. Familiarity with real estate law.
6. Understanding of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of real estate title and settlement process.
7. Knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to real estate title insurance and settlement services.
8. Understanding of underwriting real estate transactions for the issuance of title insurance policies.
9. Ability to collaborate and act decisively.
10. Detail-oriented with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
11. Good organizational skills, able to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up in a timely manner.
12. Strong negotiation skills.

Pay Range: $82,925-$110,525 annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
