Large Contract Surety Underwriting Director (Remote – Field-Based)
Full-Time | Work from Home | A+ Rated Carrier

Join a highly respected, profitable, and growing surety organization that values autonomy, collaboration, and results. We are currently partnering with a top-tier carrier seeking an experienced Contract Surety Underwriter in multiple locations (WA/OR) to support field operations and maintain close relationships with agency partners.

This is a fully remote positions with field presence, offering the flexibility to work from home while being empowered to build strong, local relationships with agents in your territory. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and an organization that minimizes red tape and bureaucracy.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and manage a profitable book of Contract Surety business in the assigned territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents and producers
• Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business, including analyzing credit reports, financials, work-in-process schedules, and contracts
• Collaborate with Sales, Claims, and other field reps to serve clients and contribute to a team-oriented culture
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, document decisions, and deliver excellent service with clear, effective communication
• Maintain current knowledge of market dynamics and provide insights to internal stakeholders
