Amwins in Franklin, TN is seeking an Associate Underwriter to join our in-office team. This full-time role supports submission review, quote preparation, and policy processing within a collaborative underwriting culture.

No prior insurance experience is required, but a willingness to learn, strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office—especially Excel—are valued. We offer a broad benefits package, annual bonus potential, generous PTO and clear paths for career

Qualifications

• Eagerness to learn and grow as a team.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer service mentality.
• Strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills including typing proficiency, Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis in Excel spreadsheet.
• Prior insurance experience is not required, but is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Review submission information required to issue new or renewal quotes
• Rate and prepare new or renewal quotes as directed by Underwriter
• Review and handle inspection recommendations and discrepancies
• Monitor various reports for consistency
• Potential for policy issuance and endorsement processing, including audits
• Assist in accounting procedures such as invoicing
• Data entry into multiple internet-based systems
