You will service the book, evaluate risks, prepare quotes, bind coverage, and assist with inspections and endorsements. The position emphasizes relationship-building with retail agents, data-driven decision-making, and career development within the specialty insurance sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of underwriting support or industry experience with excess and surplus lines is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing is preferred.
• Strong organization skills with high attention to detail.
• Interest in continued education to obtain full underwriting authority.
• Technologically savvy and data driven.

Responsibilities

• Service a book of business under the direct supervision of an underwriter.
• Evaluate, classify, and rate each risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing to prepare quotes.
• Log applications, prepare binders, and process policies and endorsements.
• Bind risk, post the invoice, and process technical data.
• Screen renewal applications and prepare quotes for underwriter approval.
