Burns & Wilcox, the leading wholesale insurance broker, seeks an Associate Underwriter to support a broker’s book of business under supervision. You will learn the specialty insurance business, prepare market submissions, and help develop marketing plans to win renewals and new business.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in broker support, strong sales/marketing skills, and a detail-oriented mindset, with a degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Broker support or industry experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing.
• Proven organization skills with strong attention to detail.
• Interest in continued education and professional development.

Aufgaben

• Broker and supervise a portion of a Broker’s book of business, focused on renewals.
• Prepare submissions for markets and secure quotes.
• Maintain excellent client and agent relationships.
• Assist Brokers to develop and execute marketing plans to drive new and renewal business, including in-person agency visits, telemarketing and distributing marketing materials.
• Supervise execution of underwriting guidelines, corporate policy and procedures, and compliance with contract terms.
• Mentor and train Assistant Brokers as needed.
