Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking an Associate Trust Officer to support trust administration, client service, and business development. You will administer simple trusts and investments, assist with complex trusts, and help grow client relationships under supervision.

Role emphasizes excellent written and verbal communication, fiduciary duties, and compliance with banking regulations. On-site in Las Vegas with travel as needed, focusing on building trusted client partnerships and expanding business

Responsibilities

• Administer simple trust and investment accounts; assist with complex trusts under supervision.
• Maintain and develop client relationships; participate in client meetings and communication plans.
• Prepare annual accountings for court on Conservatorship and Estate accounts.
• Support setup and closure of accounts; ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Shadow senior officers in prospect meetings; assist in preparing proposals and presentations.
• Engage in community activities to form business relationships with trust clients.

About the Role:The Associate Trust Officer will work closely with senior officers to further their experience in trust administration, client service, and business development. This position administers simple trust and investment accounts, assists senior officers with the administration of complex trusts, and maintains and develops client relationships with moderate supervision. They provide exceptional service to existing trust clients.Perform a variety of written and verbal communication tasks and projects in order to ensure satisfactory completion and implementation of work or projectsSupport the setup and closure of accounts, ensuring compliance and accuracyDevelop and retain client relationshipsEngage in introductory business development activities, including: - Shadowing senior trust officers during prospect meetings and networking events - Assisting in the preparation of proposals and presentations for prospective clients - Participating in partner education to promote the Company and the service offerings - Participate in community activities that provide opportunities to form business relationships with candidates for trust servicesAdminister accounts in a satisfactory manner, including maintaining account filesAssist clients in achieving planned goals established at the opening of their account within an acceptable level of riskParticipate in client meetings and contribute to communication plans.Prepare annual accountings for court on Conservatorship and Estate accounts.Administer simple trust and investment relationships.Assist senior trust officers with the administration of complex trust relationships.Create presentations, charts, and reports for internal and client use.Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training.
