Job summary

Black & Veatch, an employee-owned engineering leader, seeks an Associate Structural - Transmission Line Engineer to support global transmission projects with design engineering and analysis of line work. You will engage in large rebuild and greenfield projects, including HVDC and 765kV, and gather data, perform calculations, and develop equipment recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, driving records).
• Relocation eligible and eligible for hybrid/flexible work options.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply departmental standards and procedures to assigned tasks.
• Support transmission projects with design engineering and analysis of line work.
• Assist with 345kV+ rebuild/greenfield projects and related technologies.
• Develop equipment/material recommendations within budget, schedule, and quality constraints.
• Collaborate with project leadership and client team to ensure clear communication and coordination.
