Pennoni Associates is seeking an Associate Traffic Engineer to work in our Clearwater or Tampa, FL offices. The role involves assisting with complex traffic engineering tasks on highway and bridge projects and leading traffic studies and permits.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree and 4–8 years of experience, with proficiency in Microstation, Synchro, HCM, VISSIM, SIDRA, and familiarity with FDOT standards. PE PTOE desirable; Florida-specific licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4-8 years of work experience.
• Microsoft Suite; Microstation, Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic.

Responsabilités

• Assist with complex traffic engineering tasks on highway and bridge projects.
• Lead and develop traffic studies and highway occupancy permits.
• Signing and pavement marking design; assist with TMPs, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans.
• Assist with development of Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans.
• Assist with development of TMPs and Traffic Impact Studies (TIS).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff (e.g., CAD).
• Experience with traffic software (Synchro, HCM, VISSIM, SIDRA).
• Develop client relationships with public and private clients.
