Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking an Associate Traffic Engineer to join our Tampa or Clearwater, FL offices. You will work on complex traffic tasks, lead traffic studies and permits, and help develop maintenance of traffic schemes and TMPs. The role includes mentoring junior staff and collaborating with public sector clients, including FDOT projects.

PE licensure is desirable, PTOE welcome. The position offers exposure to a range of highway projects with a dynamic team, and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree a plus.
4-8 years of relevant work experience.
PE license; PTOE desirable.
Experience with traffic software: Synchro, HCM, VISSIM, SIDRA.
FDOT/public sector project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with complex traffic engineering tasks on highway and bridge projects.
Lead and develop traffic studies and highway occupancy permits.
Sign and design pavement markings; assist with TMPs, construction phasing, and TCPs.
Assist with development of TIS, TMPs, and related management plans.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff; support CAD work.
