Job summary

Pennoni is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team in the Clearwater or Tampa area on a full-time, direct basis. The role involves working on public and private site development projects from concept through construction documentation and permitting.

You will prepare site plan packages, design grading and utilities, perform stormwater modeling (HydroCAD a plus), and assist with mentoring junior staff under a senior Professional Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• 3+ years of professional experience in engineering, preferably land/site design projects.
• FE / EIT certification preferred.
• Experience with stormwater management and H&H modeling; HydroCAD a plus.
• Experience with land development design using AutoCAD Civil 3D including grading, stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water line design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site plan development drawings from land survey data for municipal compliance.
• Design and detail site layout, removals, grading, utilities, etc.
• Perform stormwater management design and H&H modeling with relevant calculations.
• Prepare permits applications and reports.
• Assist with mentoring junior staff and work under supervision of a senior Professional Engineer.
