Job summary

R C M INDUSTRIES INC is seeking an Associate Tooling Engineer to repair and replace production tooling and to maintain the accuracy of all tooling data within the engineering department. The role requires knowledge of tooling condition, wear mechanisms, and standard repair processes, plus strong organizational and data management skills.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of tooling data management and record-keeping.
• Understanding of tool steel types and wear mechanisms.
• Ability to learn and operate ERP-style systems.
• Able to read and interpret tooling drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace production tooling and manage outside tooling repairs.
• Procure wear components (inserts, cores, sleeves) and support procurement of perishable tooling.
• Provide technical support to tool room and maintain tooling records in ERP.
• Generate shot count reports and lead last-shot reviews; issue work orders.
