Job summary

Recorded Future is seeking a threat intelligence analyst to produce and review intelligence reports addressing client priorities. You will engage with clients from scoping to delivery and support, while developing automated processes for regular research.

The role requires 1–2 years in threat analysis, strong writing, and the ability to convey complex concepts. A CS/InfoSec degree or equivalent is expected, with familiarity in MITRE ATT&CK and related models.

What You'll Do

• Produce and review finished intelligence reports that address clients’ priority intelligence requirements
• Engage with clients across report lifecycle: initial scoping, finished intelligence delivery, and follow-up review / support
• Develop novel, automated, or simpler processes for regular research and analysis
• Track cyber threat trends across industries and technologies, and generate better ways to do so
• Work on projects across multiple research teams with sometimes tight deadlines

What You'll Bring

• 1-2 years experience as a threat intelligence analyst or in similar position
• Demonstrably strong writing ability, to be assessed via a writing sample
• Ability to convey complex technical and non-technical concepts in products
• BA/BS or MA/MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience researching and analyzing data across either a) multiple industries or b) multiple timeframes (e.g., both weekly and quarterly)
• Practical experience using common threat intelligence analysis models such as MITRE ATT&CK, the Diamond Model, and the Cyber Kill Chain
• Familiarity with and use of common cyber threat intelligence tools such as DomainTools, VirusTotal, SHODAN, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of at least one language other than English, with relevance preferred for regions with more active or sophisticated cyberattackers
• Demonstrable experience of conducting cyber threat investigationsFamiliarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Javascript, C, etc. Scripting experience is ideal but not necessary.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $78,500-$117,500. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary displayed reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by state, work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K.
