Sierra Health + Wellness operates an inpatient behavioral health facility serving adults and families dealing with addiction and mental health challenges.

Licensed Therapists, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC are welcome, with Associate Therapist tracks available. The site features a 16-client capacity, modern amenities, and a focus on evidence-based care across individual, family, and group therapy.

Qualifications

• Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling.
• Must obtain an associate registration number with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Two-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling is preferred, not required.

Responsabilités

• Performs journey-level professional casework and clinical services with clients in treatment.
• Assesses and monitors clients’ behaviors during treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse.
• Conducts individual, family, and group therapy; interviews clients and relatives.
• Prepares verbal, written, and statistical reports; participates in staff conferences.
• Collaborates with other agencies for coordinated treatment; communicates effectively in person and over the phone.

Description

Licensed Therapists or Associate Therapist opportunity. (please note: Licensed Therapists, LMFT, LCSW or LPCC, will also be considered. The list of essential functions reflects that of Associate Therapists)

Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to accomplish the restoration of families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming the character, we give life back to the people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues.

Our inpatient facility houses 16 clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. Spacious and newly remodeled facility, located on 4 private acres of land.

Positions Available

• Part -Time: 8:00am- 5:00pm Sunday and Monday (1 position as either an Associate Therapist or Licensed Therapist)

Essential Functions As An Associate Therapist

• Performs journey-level professional casework and clinical services with mentally and emotionally disturbed clients
• Assesses and monitors clients’ behaviors while in treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse and dependency.
• Works as a team member with other professionals
• Participates in evaluative and diagnostic staff conferences
• Conducts individual, family, and group therapy; interviews clients and relatives
• Participates in collaborative treatment with representatives of other agencies
• Prepares verbal, written, and statistical reports
• Attends conferences, workshops, and training to maintain current awareness of mental health methodologies and issues
• Operates a personal computer and other office equipment
• Communicates effectively with others in person and over the telephone
• Analyze data, interpret directions, procedures and regulations, and develop appropriate responses
• Perform job duties under stressful conditions
• May be assigned some lead and special work coordination responsibilities

Education And Minimum Qualification

• Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling
• Must obtain an associate registration number with the Board of Behavioral Sciences
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Two-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling (preferred, not required)

Hourly

Associate Therapist: $38.00 - $45.00

Licensed Therapist: $44.00 -$58.00

The posted pay range is a reasonable estimate that the organization believes in good faith it may pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Pay may consider several factors including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, training, hours/shifts worked, business need, and education. Pay ranges may be adjusted in the future depending on many factors including business needs.

Qualifications

Required education and experience

• Must obtain and maintain a registration number regulated by a state board (ASW, AMFT, APC)
• Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling.
• Have at minimum one-year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling.
• Very familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
• Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Preferred Education And Experience

• Two to three years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling
• BA or MA degree in related field.
