Job summary

Pasadena Villa Outpatient LLC in Des Moines is seeking an Associate Therapist to provide care coordination and lead group therapy within Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization settings. You will work under licensed supervision to tailor treatment plans and coordinate care across the treatment team.

This role focuses on documenting progress, coordinating with clinical partners, and engaging with clients and families to support recovery goals while aligning with organizational standards

Qualifications

• Position requires an LBSW, CADC or IADC certification with a minimum of 1 year experience working with clients with primary mental health diagnosis and substance use disorders.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating client needs and creating tailored, strength-based recovery plans.
• Completes session notes, contact logs, discharge plans and other reports in compliance with state and accrediting bodies.
• Completes all necessary documentation within prescribed format and timelines.
• Ensures documentation reflects ongoing assessments of client’s clinical presentation and behaviors.
• Facilitates specialized groups as assigned based on education, training, and experience.
• Maintains therapeutic relationships with clients using praise and other reinforcers to encourage appropriate behaviors and attitudes.
• Conducts crisis intervention and de-escalation with team, as needed.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team from admission through discharge.
• Attends clinical, consultation, and operations meetings; serves as a clinical advocate for assigned cases.
• Communicates client progress with referral sources, families, parents and guardians as appropriate.
• Addresses clients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in a welcoming and respectful manner.
